I love Magnolias and always enjoy painting them. This Magnolia I searched high and low for as flowering season had finished. Fortunately my friend had one up very high, but only the bud. After cutting and leaving in water overnight in my studio, the next morning she had opened. Like a yawn, stretching herself out. Just beautiful!
